I spoke to Paul Ash today and 'yes' he does remember the conversation he had with you back
in June. Here are your options:
(1) Gretsch G4166BC (6" x 14" polished brass) snare drum
or
(2) Store credit in the amount of $429.82 towards any purchase.
Keep in mind, that Gretsch has a back order time of at least six months for all new snare
drums.
Just to remind you, on the 10" hoops, Ernie at Gretsch stated that they have produced
the same model (#G5484) for the last 40 years. I would be more than happy to exchange this
for you. However, I cannot guarantee the hoop looking any different. With that being said,
please understand we did everything in our power to accommodate you.
Also, we will replace the 10" and 12" rims for the correct ones and
lastly, we will get you the 2 lugs (#G5473) that you did not receive
from your original order with Thoroughbred.
I hope you find these terms acceptable as we have accommodated all of your needs. I will
get the ball rolling as soon as you give me the
'Green' light.
Best Regards,
--

These terms are acceptable except you forgot all the money I spent, here
is a rough list:
Return of rims and hoops: 50$
Lawyer fees (in case you don't know, my lawyer sent 2 registered letters to Sam Ash Tampa,
the first one in september and the second one in december): 184$
Taxes I will have to pay one more time on 2 hoops(60$), 2 rims(70$), 2 lugs(14$), snare
drum(430$):
25% of 574$ = 143$
Interests on rims(70$) for 9 months (may 99 to february 00): 3.5$
Interests on snare drum(430$) for 15 months (may 99 to august 00): 37$
Total 417.5$
Not counted: interests on the fees for returning the rims, interests on
lawyer fees, expenses on faxes and emails, 2 hours lost for 2 appointments with my lawyer,
9 months without possibilities of using 2 toms, etc ...
So here's the deal: you send me two G4166BC snare drums instead of one and you pay the
shipping for the rims and hoops. You can notice it's a good deal for you, I just want my
money back.
I will send you photos of the hoops next week.

Photos I had to sent, you can clearly see that the hoops are
not the same.
Any $300 crappy drumkit has the same hoops on all drums,
one can legitimately ask the same thing on a $3500 high end kit.

Here are the photos of the hoops, I want 10" hoops like the one that are on the toms,
not on the snare drum.
As you can see they are different.
